These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Comp Doc Computers website and the services, products, and purchases offered by Comp Doc Computers ("we", "us", "our"). By using our website, requesting a quote, booking an appointment, or purchasing a product or service, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Services
Comp Doc Computers offers computer repair, IT support, website design, WordPress development, full stack development, and related services in the Belleville & Quinte Region of Eastern Ontario. A detailed description of the work to be performed will be provided in your quote or work order before work begins.
2. Quotes and Approvals
- Quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote, and are based on the information provided at the time.
- Authorizations for repairs are required before we begin paid diagnostic or repair work, unless otherwise agreed.
- Additional work discovered during service may require your approval and may adjust the final price.
3. Pricing and Payment
- All prices are quoted in Canadian dollars (CAD).
- Payment is due as described in your invoice or at the point of purchase.
- A deposit may be required before work begins on certain projects, including website development projects.
- We accept payment by cash, card, and PayPal where available.
- By completing a purchase you authorize us to collect the listed price via the selected payment method.
4. Website Development
- Project scope, deliverables, timelines, and payment milestones are defined in a written agreement before work starts.
- Draft content and materials you provide must not infringe the rights of any third party.
- On final payment, ownership of the completed website design work transfers to you, subject to any third-party licenses (themes, plugins, fonts, stock content, etc.).
- Ongoing hosting, maintenance, and support are billed separately unless otherwise agreed.
5. Refunds and Warranty
- Refunds for services are issued at our discretion and are subject to the terms of the work order.
- Physical products purchased through our shop may be returned in accordance with applicable consumer legislation; please contact us promptly if there is an issue with your item.
- Repair work may carry a limited warranty on parts and labour as described in your invoice or work order. A warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, viruses, or subsequent repairs by third parties.
6. Data and Privacy
When we work on your device we will take reasonable care with your data. If you choose to have us back up data before repairs, a backup fee may apply. We are not responsible for data loss that occurs during repairs when a backup was declined by you. Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Comp Doc Computers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to our services or the use of our website. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service or product at issue.
8. Website Use
- You agree to use our website lawfully and not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.
- All content on the website, including text, graphics, logos, and imagery, is the property of Comp Doc Computers or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
